 On Valentine's Day, Shahrukh would be in jail. "My Valentine's Day will be in jail since on that day I'll be shooting in a jail in Malaysia for a film," the star is quoted as saying by a news agency. What plans do other Bollywood stars have on Valentine's Day? Katrina Kaif doesn't have any plan for Feb 14. She says she would be busy shooting. Priyanka Chopra says any day could be Valentine's Day if one has the love to express. She isn't planning anything special for this Feb 14. Deepika Padukone won't be with her boyfriend Siddharth Mallya but shooting for director Prakash Jha's film Aarakshan in Bhopal. Kareena Kapoor, too, isn't excited about Valentine's Day. She says she has no plans.  | ||

 With Madhuri on board the reality dance show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa is having its best season ever, and the show had opened with TRP rating of 5.6, in comparison Shahrukh's Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipe Out has opened with a mere 2.6 ratings. What's more Big B's Kaun Banega Crorepati season 4, had opened with 5.4 TRP and Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 4 had TRPs of 3.6 on day 1. Reportedly, Shahrukh Khan is being paid Rs.20 crore to host the show, and the channel produces are confident about the show being a smash hit. If the producers have their way, we may even see the witty SRK entertaining us with his one liners in season 2 of the show.  | ||

 Vidya Balan's no for strip for Hussain painting?: Vidya Balan has lately been in the headlines for allegedly her dare-to-bare-all decision for a nude painting by M F Hussain, whose latest muse she seems to have become.However, the news has turned out to be incorrect as a source close to Vidya has strongly dismissed the report as a "fabricated" by people with vested interests. Balan, who shot a topless pic for Dabboo Ratnani's calendar without baring anything to the camera, has shocked many with her bold makeover recently. She is also doing Ekta Kapoor's Dirty Picture in which she plays the south sex bomb Silk Smitha. The role has Vidya exuding a lot of oomph without, again, baring anything on camera.  The actor is in Bhopal to shoot for director Prakash Jha's film Aarakshan, co-starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Prateik Babbar and Manoj Bajpai. During his stay in the city, he has been showered with love and caring from his mother-in-law. "As I work in Bhopal, my sasural, my wife's home, her mother who lives by herself there, shall dutifully prepare my dinner each night and personally come over to the hotel with it and sit beside me to feed me and supervise the meal. Coercing me to eat more, to try this and that and whether it was appealing or not," Amitabh posted on his blog big.bigadda. The superstar prefers eating home-made food and his mother-in-law seems well aware of that.  | ||

 'Meri skirt kheechega' item song is Deepika Padukone's item number bawdy?: Some of the words of Deepika Padukone's item song in the film Dum Maro Dum appear to be objectionable.Some item songs are plain raunchy. Some go further and border on being outright indecent with words that are sure to raise brows. A 'Munni' going zandu balm for her darling or a 'Sheila' flaunting her jawani may not fall in the category of being vulgar, but the words of Deepika's item song in Dum Maro Dum are bawdy, to say the least. From what we hear, this is how the song's lyrics go: Hey...kya phir dekh raha hai, Aaj aankhen sek raha hai kal haath sekega, Aaj dheel chhod raha hai, kal khud hi tokega, Aaj mere liye chair kheech raha hai kal meri skirt kheechega, Kheechega ki nahi? Apparently, Deepika was also not happy with the lyrics of the song, but when she came to know of its context in the plot, she gave in and did the item. She even got a removable cobra tattoo on her midriff with the words 'Dum Maro Dum' written in Hindi.  | ||

Luck seems to have run out on Akshay Kumar, for after the failure of his Tees Maar Khan, his new release Patiala House too wasn't able to attract many footfalls in theatres on its opening day, Friday. The film opened to 30 to 40 percent response in multiplexes, and a dismal 10 to 20 percent occupancy at single screen theatres. This is shockingly low for a superstar whose films used to open to packed houses just two years back. The reviews by critics are mixed and so is the audience reaction to the Nikhil Advani-directed film. Meanwhile, last week's release Yeh Saali Zindagi rounded off its first week with a collection of Rs. 7.5 crore net. On the other hand, Madhur Bhandarkar's Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji continued to slide down and did a business of Rs. 6 crore during its second week. The film's collection so far is in the proximity of Rs. 27 crore. The coming Friday would see the release of Vishal Bhardwaj's much awaited film 7 Khoon Maaf.  | ||

 The couple got married last month and had a brief celebratory getaway on an island near Bangkok with close family and friends. Thereafter, Imran was supposed to take Avantika for an uninterrupted honeymoon to an exotic island, possibly Hawaii, but the actor's Bollywood projects have spoiled the fun. We hear that Imran will now commit himself to the shooting of his two films -- Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with Katrina Kaif and Short Term Shaadi with Kareena Kapoor -- till the middle of this year. As a consolation he has promised Avantika to make up for the lost honeymoon later on. But we think when it comes to honeymoon, timing is everything. It's got to be right after the wedding, when a couple is still letting the fact of their matrimony sink in.  | ||

Times change, people don't. That's precisely also the case with Gurtej Singh Kahlon (Rishi Kapoor) -- a proud Sikh in Southall, London -- who has nurtured a visceral hatred for the goras ever since a fatal racist attack on his late mentor (Prem Chopra) two decades ago. Over the years he has grown (rather degenerated) into an autocratic figure whose diktat is the final word in the household called Patiala House, bustling with daughters, ghar-jamais, cousins and a sheepish, servile beta Pargat (Akshay Kumar) who toe the line etched by their bigoted bauji. Everyone has had to sacrifice some dream. Someone wanted to be a rapper, but is now doing kirtans; someone wanted to be a chef but is making jalebis; someone wanted to be a film-maker but is a cabbie. Most of all, Pargat has smothered his dream of being a pace bowler for England and is now content with an utterly boring and humdrum existence as the keeper of a provision store in Southall. All because of the gora-hating, venom-spewing, domineering bauji. But then, a young girl Simran (Anushka Sharma) with a questionable reputation prods and dares Pargat to realize his dream and play for the English team against the wishes of his father. For most of its running time, Patiala House keeps zigzagging between melodrama and light humour. One moment, Advani wants you to yank out your kerchiefs to dry the moistened eyes, the next he tries to regale you with the antics of the Punjabi brood with its bunch of wannabes. That's the course the film charts for the first half before slipping into a somewhat silly zone in the second half, as the odds and sods of the Patiala House literally run from pillar to post to keep the truth hidden from bauji.  | ||
