Box Office Report: 'Yeh Saali Zindagi' open with average start

Box Office Report: 'Yeh Saali Zindagi' open with average start: Most of the four releases this Friday -- Yeh Saali Zindagi, Utt Pataang, United Six and Hum Dono (Rangeen) -- face rejection at the box office.

Of the four, the most promising (relatively) is director Sudhir Mishra's rom-com crime caper Yeh Saali Zindagi, starring Irrfan Khan, Chitrangada Singh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Arunoday Singh. The film has got very positive reviews from critics and grossed around Rs. 1.20 crore on its opening day, which is below average.

Given the positive word of mouth, the collection might pick up on Saturday evening and Sunday.

On the other hand, Utt Pataang saw a very low response of about 10 percent (or even less) and grossed just a paltry sum of Rs. 10 lakh on its opening day.

The other two films - United Six and Hum Dono - fear a total washout at theatres.

Last week's release Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji has rounded off its first week collection at a figure of Rs. 21 crore.

Sonali Bendre to play pantyless stunts at Karan Johar's party?: Sonali Bendre is upset about reports that she was seen panty less at Karan Johar's party. Sonali is denying the wardrobe malfunction incident saying that what is being reported is a rumor.

Dressed in a short black mini dress, actress Sonali Bendre came to Karan Johar's bash at the Four Seasons along with her sister in law Shrishti Arya and family friend Aishwarya Rai.

Following the event, reports surfaced that the actress arrived at the party wearing a short black mini dress but forgot to wear the essential piece of garment - her underwear; suggesting that the actress who was sitting on the back seat of her car along with Ash was clueless about what was showing.

What is shocking about the report is that cameramen claimed to have snapped pictures and that when she was informed by the press, she smiled at the reporters and said, "I am happy that you saw it."

We must say that there are no pictures of the reported wardrobe malfunction and the Sonali Bendre panty less pictures or videos in question do not exist.

A few weeks ago, actress Neetu Chandra went through a similar situation when misleading reports had surfaced that she was snapped panty-less.

Seems that ever since Yana Gupta getting photographed panty less created a frenzy, the media has been all too eager to pre-maturely publicize such events even if they are baseless.

Based on Silk Smitha's life, the movie will show her many lovers. Naseeruddin Shah plays the man who actually wins her over. It's heard that Vidya will have two steamy scenes with the actor. The actress though ready to shun her inhibition wants the scenes to be shot 'aesthetically'.

We hear the scenes won't be meant to titillate. Beneath the layer of physical intimacy, there would be romance.
